The Coniferous forest community was surveyed and measured by Pointquar-ter and quadrat methods. Opening degree is defined as the sum of ratio of the distance from the point to the nearest coniferous forest irdividuals in each quadrat to their height. The relationship between opening degree and the undergrowths of the quadrat was analysed quantitatively.The community spatial pattern corresponds with its function in regulation ard compensation on use of sun light energy.
