STUDY ON THE RESPONSE OF PINUS MASSONIANA SEEDLING TO ALUMINUM
|
Abstract:
The paper deals with the response of growth, biochemical and physiological process of Pinus massoniana seedling to aluminum under cultural solution. The results indicated that the growth of Pinus massoniana treated by Al3+ was inhibited markedly with a threshold concentration of 15 mg/L.The total chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate of needle were reduced with decreasing Al3+ concentration, but the transpiration and cell permeability of needle were increased. It was showed that the contents of soluble sugar and ATP in needle were reduced under Al3 + . The enzyme activities of ATP and GAP were inhibited. The uptake and transport of Ca, K, Fe and Zn were reduced, but the accumulation of aliuminum was increased with increasing Al3+ concentration. The accumulated aluminum of root tissue distributed mainly in exodermis.
