|
Abstract:
Hynobiidae belonging to Urodela of Amphibia is one of the most inferior fauna of extant terrestrial vertebrates, and is of great value in researching the origin and evolution of terrestrial vertebrates and in economy, culture, and entertainment. From the aspects of species categorizing, breeding ecology, and the form and structure of sperm, this paper summarized the current research situation of Hynobiidae in China, and analyzed the reasons causing its population decline. Some conservation strategies were put forward, aimed to provide references for the resource utilization of Hynobiidae in China, and the policy-making for its species protection.
