Effect of phosphatase activity on soil organic phosphorus loss in the environment of clover growth
|
Abstract:
To study the relationship between activity of phosphatase and soil organic phosphorus in the rhizosphere and hyphosphere, mycorrhizal and non\|mycorrhizal red clover(\%Trifolium pratense\% L)were grown 10 weeks in sterilized soils in PVC pots with three compartments,a top one for root growth(rhizosphere),the central one for hyphal growth(hyphosphere)and the bottom where root and hyphae could not penetrate. The results showed that different phosphorus sources exerted different effects on soil phosphatase activity.Organic phosphate(Na\|phytate)promoted phosphatase activity much more than KH\-2PO\-4.Infection rate was also increased by organic phosphate more than by KH\-2PO\-4.Dry weight and P uptake of red clover increased significantly in the treatments inoculating mycorrhizal fungus(\%Glomus versiforme)\%than those of non\|mycorrhizal treatments.Soil organic phosphorus concentration decreased within the range by the affected hyphae.
