Spatial variability of sugar content in flue-cure tobacco leaf
|
Abstract:
Taking three grades(B2F,C3F and X2F)flue-cure tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum)leaves from main production provinces in China as study objects, this paper studied the spatial variability of their water-soluble sugar and reducing sugar contents by the methods of geostatistics and GIS technique. The results indicated that the water-soluble sugar, reducing sugar, and sugar-nicotine ratio in these three grades flue-cure tobacco leaves had a moderate spatial correlation, with an increase after an initial decrease of these parameters from west to east, and no evident variation trend for water-soluble sugar and reducing sugar but differed in sugar-nicotine ratio from south to north.
