Terephthatic acid (TA) is nonfluorescent, but once combining with hydroxyl radical OH, it becomes highly fluorescent hydroxy - terephthalate HTA. Based on this princi-p!e the threshold, mechanism and regularity of generation of hydroxyl radicals OH in aqueous solution exposured to simulated therapeutic ultrasound have been studied in this paper.
