THE NEURO DEVELOPMENTAL PROPERTIES OF 40HzAUDITORY EVENT RELATED POTENTIAL (40Hz-AERP) IN PREMATURE INFANTS
|
Abstract:
The results of the study on the properties of 40Hz-AERP in premature infants are as follows: 1.The latencies of waves, Pa and Pb, of 40Hz-AERP in premature infants are evidently longer than those of full-term newborn infants at three tone pip (500Hz) intensities (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.001). However, none of the remarkable changs of inter-wave of Pa-Pb latency in above mentioned groups could be found (P>0.05) . 2. It is highly correlated between the latencies of waves Pa and Pb of 40Hz AERP and the 500Hz-tone pip intensities (under the definite pregnant age) (correlation coefficient r = 0.98), and the slope (K) of the linear regression equation of wave Pb latency vs. intensity-function is larger than that of wave Pa' (P<0.05). 3. It is also highly correlated between the latencies of waves, Pa and Pb, of 40Hz-AERP and the pregnant ages (at the definite stimulus intensitv) (correlation coefficient r= 0.7), and the slope (K) of wave Pb latency vs. pregnant age function is larger than that of wave Pa' (P<0.05) .
