STUDIES ON THE INTERACTION BETWEEN CERIUM AND DIPALMITOYLPHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE LIPOSOME BY FLUORESCENCE SPECTRA

Abstract:
The interaction of Ce3+ and dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC ) liposome was studied by fluorescence spectra. It was different from the fluorescence spectrum of Ce3+-H2O complex,the excitation wavelengths of Ce3+ -DPPC system were observed at 247nm and 294nm, the emission wavelength at 344nm. It indicated the formation of Ce3+ -DPPC complex. the observed spectra have the characteristics of the fluorescence spectrum of Ce3+-DHP complex. It is reasonable to suppose that Ce3+ is bound to the phosphate group of the DPPC molecule.
