THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF BASE ELEMENTS FOR CODING SEQUENCES IN E.COLI GENES

code-starting sequences and 1307 code-terminal sequences of E.coli were compiled and the RF (relative frequency) values of 6 base elements, 4 base elements and 3 base elements in the two regions were counted. It was found that most of the 4 base modes and 3 base modes were in the region of RF<2 ; most of the base elements appeared in coding region is poly A; the base modes in code-starting region differ distinctly from that in code-terminal region; the base modes of GGA category in code-starting region are rare modes, but are predominant in SD region; In the two regions, TAG and CTA modes are forbidden.
