PHENOMENOLOGICAL THEORY OF SUBSTANCE TRANSPORT THROUGH SKIN

Substance transport to pass skin is a pr ocess of non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and force-driving mass through skin occurs substance permeation flux. It is illustrated their relation ship by the phenomenological theory in the paper. The essay hypothesiz es that the side-by-side permeation chambers is a system with constant temperature, no chemical reaction, solution with non-stickiness, only two species and local equilibrium. Bases on Gibbs theory, it is obtai ned the dissipation function of the permeation system, and deduced the mass flow and volume flow, mass force and volume force in the syst em. From completed some experiments with which Tinidazole was pattern substance, the results included in that: (1) not only substance can tr ansferred to pass skin in the chambers, but also solution in the don or appeared volume loss; (2) phenomenological coefficients have time var iable properties and can be deduced that effects of mass flow on mas s force and volume flow on volume force are weaken when duty time i s expanded; (3) the velocity grads on surface of skin might generate volume flow. And so the conclusion is that the permeation system is believed to be a non-linear and time variable.
