FUSION OF MURINE FRIEND CELLS INDUCED BY ELECTRIC FIELD
|
Abstract:
The fustion of Friend cells was studied using self-made dcctrofusion equipment with the stainless steel cylindrical electrodes or the parallel platinum wire electrodes. The cylindrical electrodes is convenient for sterile menipulation and can hold more cells in electrolytic solution were pre- treated by pronase E (0.5mg ml). The electrofusion rate could reach 90%. Two to dozens of Friend. Cells could be electrofused into one. Fused pllycaryotic cells could survive for three or four days, some of them could even survive six days. With DMSO as inducer, the fused cells still remained their original activity.
