Relation Between Locus of Control of College Teachers and Their Job Satisfaction

The purpose of study was to understand the relationship between locus of control of college teachers and their job satisfaction. A sample of 150 teachers was selected from the different colleges of Amritsar city in Punjab, India. The tools used were locus of control scale and job satisfaction scale. The different statistical techniques like Pearson’s product moment coefficient of correlation, Mean, Standard error of difference between means and T- test were used for the study. The study reveals a significant relationship between locus of control and job satisfaction of college teachers. Among male and female teachers, male teachers with high job satisfaction possess a better locus of control as compared to female college teachers with high job satisfaction.
