Over the past two decades, the advent of cutting-edge technologies has considerably accelerated the generation of experimental and theoretical discoveries in the field. This has generated opportunities for finding novel treatments to improve human health. To meet the great need for rapid dissemination of knowledge, Dove Medical Press has launched Research and Reports in Medicinal Chemistry as an open access journal, opening a new forum for scientists to publish their research in a timely fashion.
