Bacteriological contamination of sturgeon hybrid, fodder and water in intensive tank rearingDOI: 10.2478/v10232-011-0008-x Keywords: bacteria, sturgeon hybrid, fodder, water, closed system Abstract: Bacteriological analyses were carried out at the Experimental Stocking Station in Dga , Institute of Inland Fisheries in Olsztyn, during the rearing of a hybrid of bester (a hybrid of: great sturgeon - Huso huso L. with sterliad - Acipenser ruthenus L.) with sterliad (Acipenser ruthenus L.) in flow tanks with a closed water system. A statistical analysis of the results obtained demonstrated significant differences (p<0.05) in arithmetic means of the counts of bacteria indicative of contamination degree (TVC 22°C and TVC 37°C) in mucus from skin surface, muscle tissue, gastrointestinal digesta of the fish as well as in their fodder. In water samples, the Kruskal-Wallis test showed significant differences (p<0.05) in the mean numbers of TVC 22°C and TVC 37°C between the research stations as well as their lack in the case of bacteria indicative of the sanitary state (TC, FC and FS).
