The essay undertakes general characteristics of Spanish thought against the background of democratic social changes after the demise of Francoism. The author pays attention to a strong impact of the independent French Left, Michel Foucault's chiefly, to the influence of post-structuralism, hedonistic postmodernism and to feminist thought, quite new on Spanish soil.
