Algunas consideraciones criticas sobre la aplicación de la metodología de género al estudio de las masculinidades

until now, feminists have used the gender methodology in order to analise solely the inequality situation suffered by women as a group, and they have brought it about starting from the assumption that they are exclusively the ones underthis situation, which has been imposed arbitrarily by men for the masculine benefit of themselves. by the way, such a criterion has been questioned today by some groups of pro-feminist men. the existence of men oppressed also by the patriarchal system, and the present development of new positive masculinities, is setting up an urgent revisión of those feminist assumptions referred to men and masculinity. we propose to modify this assumptions and widening the gender methodology in order to analise in a new way this male reality, which is now rising under a complexity higher than ever supposed
