this article starts from the scheler's analysis of the experience of repentance as crucial form of moral progress. several important characteristics of the essence of human person as spiritual being are discovered in it: value qualities in the actions, the specific temporality of the human spirit and a peculiar meaning of freedom. subsequently, the question of the motive and force for the repentance is dealt, which is love: the real ordo amoris as the ideal one. and this shows the human person is not only its ordo amoris, but in addition a constitutive capacity of loving, intimately united to god.
