Conflictos barriales en el Gran Buenos Aires: control social de la vida cotidiana de los sectores populares

this article deals with the role of social policies, particularly the "more life-comadres" plan, based on the emergence of the so-called paradigm of insecurity. the theoretical concern consists of analyzing social policy from a particular reading: the perspective of social control, in order to identify control mechanisms in state interventions into society. from a conceptual framework that uses the contributions of boaventura de sousa santos (2003) and gosta esping-andersen (1993, 2000), the authors analyze the interventions of local women workers in this social program in neighborhood conflicts.
