Representaciones sociales en la prensa: aportaciones teóricas y metodológicasKeywords: social representations, argumentative analysis. Abstract: research on social representations has progressed in its theoretical and conceptual models, but, meanwhile, has neglected social representations projected in mass media, specifically in print media. in this article we present a theoretical and methodological description on social representations in newspapers. we specifically analyze: the concept of social representations in order to identify its main elements, and the way said concept spread over mass media; social representations present in press are transmitted through the discourse about information; the construction of facts, because the propagation of news goes through the filter of journalists and editors, which ingrains a peculiar vision into it; the methodological theory of argumentative analysis postulated by grize to study social representations.
