Infancia e risco social: Retratos da imprensa portuguesa

in this article are presented the first results of an investigation project about the press covering of children in social risk in the portuguese press in 2005. in the first four journals was found a similar construction of the articles based on the prevalence of the subjects and it was obvious the existing tension between the conciliation of the right to free information and the right to intimacy and preservation of the private life of the child. the boundaries between accusation and exposition as well as a more pro-active activity revealed by the readers are still too fragile in this context.
