Inter-rela？？o da produtividade de madeira do pinus com atributos físico-químicos de um latossolo do cerrado brasileiro

concerning the soil traits, the pine wood productivity changes intensely in function of ph, organic matter content and mechanics resistance penetration, as well. wood yield of pinus caribaea var. hondurensis was analyzed in function of some physical-chemical traits of a dystrofic red latosol at 21 years of age in the municipality of selvíria in the state of mato grosso do sul, brazil, in 2007. the objective of this work was to select, among the soil traits studied, the one that could show better so to explain wood yield. therefore, a geostatistical grid was set up for soil and plant data collecting, with 121 sample points in a 3-ha area. wood yield changed directly with soil ph, in a linear and special fashion, with values of 27.0-32.6 m3. ha-1. year-1 and 3.9-4.4, respectively. in the highest ones, 32.6-36.9 m3. ha-1. year-1 and 4.4-4.9. thus, ph revealed to be an appreciable index of the chemical quality of the soil, when the objective was to linearly and spacially estimate wood yield of the forest points studied in the conditions of brazilian cerrado in the southeastern mato grossso do sul.
