Nivel de conocimiento sobre farmacovigilancia que poseen los farmacéuticos regentes del área Metropolitana de Caracas

a projective-descriptive type trial was made to diagnose the level of knowledge of the pharmacists of the metropolitan area of caracas on the pharmacovigilance and it was come to the manual elaboration from an informative one on the same one. a sampling from simple conglomerate of 150 pharmacies was taken. it was used as instrument to measure the knowledge on pharmacovigilance a questionnaire of 20 questions based on aspects like:adverse drug reactions to medicines (adr),concept and classification, pharmacovi- gilance, concept and methods of study, yellow card, contents and use, centers of pharmacovigilance, concept and functions, and the rol of the pharmacist for the practice of pharmacovigilance. the trustworthiness of the instrument was moderate by the method of kuder richardson. for the evaluation of the questionnaire it was used a scale of note rank and its qualitative equivalence from excellent to very deficient. the obtained results revealed that 21% of the pharmacists evaluated had a good level of knowledge on the pharmacovigilance, but 54% and 25% of these professionals had a regular and deficient level respectively,therefore and with the purpose of replacing the necessary knowledge for the practice of the pharmacovigilance at the drug-store, it sets out manual informative on pharmacovigilance directed to the pharmacist, without excluding other professionals of the health who can benefit from the same one.
