Certificación de la calidad de viviendas en Chile: Análisis comparativo con sistemas internacionales

creating a system that helps to improve the quality of building houses and generates trust for a customer is a must. each customer needs to be confident in the product that he or she is buying, and that this house or apartment meets the appropriate standards. within this context, certifying the quality of housing construction has created a need. a quality certification system could help identifying and satisfying the needs of customers interested in buying houses, in variables such us, safety, trust, and functionality. the system acquires more relevance for construction and realty state companies willing to stay competitive and to improve their processes. we compare different certification quality models for housing on an international a national level that includes the system created by the catholic university of chile. first, we present a literature review considering strengths and weaknesses of current models; second, we describe the actual system for certifying housing construction in chile.
