Diagnóstico sobre la Planeación y Control de Proyectos en las PYMES de Construcción

construction projects involve great amount of resources that must be well managed to succeed. management cycle starts with planning to establish operations and actions needed to technologically transform the resources involved in construction. if planning has been effectively performed, control of construction will be possible. this makes the early detection of deviations during execution possible, as well as planning alternative actions, thus closing the management cycle. an exploratory study on the present situation for project construction planning and control in the yucatan peninsula, mexico, is conducted in this paper. it was concluded that most of the construction firms are satisfied with the results obtained in the execution of their projects. however, and very frequently, construction firms face problems caused by the lack of a thorough planning, mainly related to delays in the completion time and the prompt supply of materials.
