Análisis de la porosidad del concreto con agregado calizoKeywords: concrete, factorial analysis, limestone aggregate, porosity, water-cement ratio. Abstract: for most structural materials, porosity is a physical property that directly affects their main mechanical properties. concrete is a composite material formed by two phases: the hydrated cement matrix and the stone aggregates; thus its porosity is a function of the porosity of both phases. the way the concrete pore network is interconnected determines the permeability of the material. this work reports a factorial experiment performed on lab specimens in order to identify the factors that affect the porosity of concrete made with high-absorption crushed limestone aggregates, which may present unusual characteristics, through varying the water-cement ratio, the coarse-fine aggregate ratio, and the aggregates source. it was found that the water-cement ratio and the amount of water were the main factors affecting the porosity.
