Abstract: placenta percreta is the less common accreta placenta variety. diagnosis during pregnancy is very difficult, especially in early time. complications increase perinatal and maternal mortality. posterior uterine rupture is less frequent, more difficult to diagnose and with more complications than anterior. until 2002, in venezuela, 7 percreta placenta cases had been published. its presented a new case of percreta placenta with posterior uterine rupture, complicated with hemoperitoneum, hypovolemic shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation, severe anemia and hypoxia and fetal and maternal death.
