Dise?o curricular basado en la sistematización de consultas: El caso del estado AmazonasKeywords: curriculum design, educational consultation, education and democracy, venezuelan education. Abstract: abstract in this article we present the core contents in the final document that resulted from the process of systematization of the opinions obtained from three educational consultations conducted in the seven municipalities of the state of amazonas, in southern venezuela. the process was carried out between the years 2002 and 2005 and approximately 2000 people participated in all the consultations. 158 documents produced by both the participants at large and group coordinators were analyzed according to the process of coding, organizing, immersion, interpretive reading, reduction, production of a restructured text, returning of documents to the participants and validation by the original producers. results show the richness of thecontributions given by all those involved which might serve as a basis for programs targeted at educational improvement. an aspect emphasized by the participants was the key role of schools in the preservation of culture and the promotion of citizens? unity and also of social and economic well being. additionally, a number of necessities, aspirations and proposals set forth by the communities in terms of ways of teaching and learning, school organization, curriculum contents, teachers, school principals, school calendar, relationship between the economy and education, among other relevant issues for educational planning in that region of the country were gathered
