Ciudadanía y formación inicial docente: Explorando las representaciones sociales de académicos y estudiantesKeywords: initial teacher training, education and citizenship, social representations, chilean education. Abstract: the results we present correspond to the second phase of a study financed by the research office of the university of bio bio, chile. we used a qualitative methodology through the application of semi-structured interviews. analysis was carried out using structural semantics. the findings of the study allow us to confirm that the participants gave particular importance to the processes of citizenship in the initial stages of teacher training, while also underlining the challenge of promoting integral formation in students of pedagogy.
