INSECTOS ASOCIADOS AL CULTIVO DEL GARBANZO (Cicer arietinum L.) EN LA PROVINCIA LAS TUNAS

agricultural areas of production units of las tunas province were sampled during three growing seasons to determine the species of insects associated with the chickpea crop in the province. thirty two species belonging to seven orders and 21 families were detected, among which heliothis virescens (f.) was recognized as the main pest affecting the crop. plodia interpunctella hubner and lasioderma serricorne (f.) were reported for the first time in the country attacking chickpea under storage.
