VARIACIONES ANATOMICAS DE LAS VENAS COMUNICANTES DE LA REGION POSTERIOR DE LA PIERNA Y SU IMPORTANCIA CLINICA

summary:the present research was undertaken in order to identify anatomical factor to link the variable clinical and hemodynamic consequences of the incompetent communicating veins of the leg. the study was done by dissection in 100 lower limbs of 58 adult people of both sexes. it was found a main communicating vein in 92% of legs with variable anastomosis pattern between the superficial veins and the deep venous system, and receiving thick muscles branches in 12%. this variation could bias the reflux degree of incompetent veins and its transmission, but its signification requires clinical assessment.
