summary: muscular and tendinous variations are not frequent but they have been mentioned at a lon time in the literature. in practical activities in the anatomy's laboratory of the universidade federal de s？o paulo, brazil, we found a case of the sartorius biceps muscle. the literature offers a few information about this variation type and some authors referred that the sartorius muscle usually presented biceps in inferior mammals, and, in the human, these rare variations should bee agreed as persistence involution state of the sartorius muscle.
