Abstract:

the purpose of this article is to present some methodological reflections in connection with the education of young and adults on the base of our experiences of popular education and participatory research in argentina. it is developed through two central axes: i) the location of the popular education of young and adults in argentina, in their relationship with the social movements in a historical process starting from the termination of the military dictatorship and up to our days, and ii) the outline of the challenges and contradictions of the present historical moment for the popular education of young and adults in their relationship with the emergent social movements. these reflections are presented framed in a psychological-social perspective referred to three moments or historical landmarks: first moment: 1984-1989; second moment: 1989-2001; third moment: december 2001 until the current present.
