Abstract: objective. to present our experience in the management of child intracranial cavernous hemangioma during the last 23 years. material and method. 21 children under the age of 15 have been analyzed and assessed from the following points of view: neurological, epileptical, neuropathological, neuroimaging and therapeutic. results. there was a predominance of male patients. 14 boys and 7 girls between 12 and 180 months old with a mean age of 9.4. the most frequent symptoms were: seizures in 12, progressive neurological deficits in 4 and hemorrhage in 3. the diagnosis was performed by ct and mri echo-gradient sequence. one patient required a phrenic pacemaker after surgery due to central hypoventilation syndrome. conclusion. up to date, surgery is the best treatment in children with cavernous hemangioma. when the epilepsy becomes intractable, epilepsy surgery is recommended.
