La conservación del patrimonio cultural en Venezuela: Nuevas oportunidades a partir de 1999

after a discussion of the concept of cultural heritage using the perspective of the ？theory of the cultural control？ developed by bonfil batalla, some comments are made concerning the limits of the performance of the venezuelan state regarding the conservation of the cultural heritage under the current law, and the new possibilities presented as a result of the approval of the 1999 bolivarian constitution, together with the later promulgation of laws such as those on communal councils and indigenous peoples.
