Leer la identidad venezolana a la luz de las comunidades étnicas biculturales de América Latina

in this article, the author offers reflections about the way of conceiving venezuelan identity from an ethnic perspective, taking into account particularly bicultural and binational ethnic communities. in the first section, there is a brief introduction to the latin american ethnic system; in the second, a theoretical reflection over the possible relationships between identity and ethnic groups; and in the third, the author speculates about the implications of all this for our reading of the formation of a venezuelan identity from the nineteenth century onwards. more than answers, the article presents a series of doubts.
