Abstract: by considering the relevance of the travel narrative in the modern process of "narrating the nation" and defining the national alterities, this article seeks to inquire how the other-indigenous subject is presented in francisco p. moreno's travel accounts. from this perspective, this essay is proposed as a way of re-thinking the dynamics, political effects and historical traces of the hegemonic alterities configuration during the formation of the argentine nation-state. in this sense, the past is questioned as a reflexive exercise of interpellate us, our present, our truths, our silences and exclusions.
