Análisis crítico de la participación por países en el Congreso de IFLA, Puerto Rico 2011, con énfasis en Latinoamérica

this article intends a critical analysis of the levels of participation of attendees, presenters (posters), and speakers who took part in the annual ifla congress in puerto rico august 13th and 18th of 2011. these levels of participation account for the levels of representation of different countries in such events and, in an area of special interest to us, also give an account of the possibilities of latin american countries, their associations, libraries, schools, departments, and information professionals to take part in them and present the theoretical, conceptual, and practical developments in our region.
