OPTIMACION DE MEZCLAS CON VIDRIO LIQUIDO Y PROCESO CO2DOI: 10.4067/S0718-13372005000200006 Keywords: molding mixtures, experimental design & moisture absorption. Abstract: in this paper three core moulding mixtures with sodium silicate and co2 process, employing different unbinders studied. the optimum composition for each mixture is found with a fractional factorial design which use relations of components and process variables (1/3 33). the compression strength at 24 hours and the work to remove the core are selected as output variables. complementarily, studies of moisture absorption and permeability are carried out. the best properties are obtained for the mixture having the third composition which employs sugar as unbinder additive.
