A propósito de un caso con estrés postraumático en el medio militar

the clinical data of a patient diagnosed with post-trauma stress disorder were presented. this disease is of great importance for military medicine since it is, together with acute stress disorder, the most frequent psychiatric affection resulting from war. an account of the historical antecedents of the present concept of post-trauma stress disorder as well as diagnostic criteria, epidemiology and treatment was made. the therapeutical intervention for this disease may be studied and modeled since a group of events of high psychotraumatic potentiality occurs in civil life, which favors the condition of parallel syndrome of this disease. theoretical approach to the topic was based on a review of the most recent publications dealing with this subject.
