Variables epidemiológicas y clínicas de la sífilis reciente en el Policlínico "Héroes del Moncada"

a descriptive study including clinical characteristics and epidemiological variables of all patients with recent diagnosis of syphilis at the "heroes del moncada" community teaching polyclinic between 1990 and 1994 was conducted. the most frequent clinical form of presentation was that of recently acquired symptomatic syphilis.(58.93%). a statistical signification was found between the fact of suffering from recently acquired symptomatic syphilis and the age group from 20 to 24 years. the productivity indexes of the epidemiological interview were satisfactory.
