Factores de riesgo de la Leptospirosis humana en el municipio Ciego de ávila

a case-control analytical study was conducted in the municipality of ciego de avila from 1995 to 1996. 38 cases of leptospirosis and the same number of controls were studied in order to evaluate the risk factors for the disease. the temporary occupation, the wounds of the skin and mucosa and the use of non-chlorinated water were among the risk factors. it was proved that the average family incomes of the cases were lower than those of the controls.
