Estructura y actividad de los antifúngicos

preventing the proliferation of fungal diseases is still an arduous task for the 21st century, and that？s why the development of increasingly potent new antifungal agents is under way. in the synthesis of this drugs, it is very important to take into account its structure-function relation, since on its basis, the death of the fungus is guaranteed without causing severe damages to the host. the present paper is a bibliographic review, where the classifications, action mechanism, the structure of various of these drugs, some of them very well known and others under development, and their interaction with the active site, are included. the activity and toxicity of many antifungal agents are compared.
