a technological study of pharmaceutical form ointment was undertaken for which chitin was used as an active agent. two types of base were used: oinment and water-soluble; the former presented better characteristics. drug release in vitro and the kinetics of this process were studied so it was concluded that the higher percentage of chitin was released in oinment. zero kinetics was followed in both cases.
