Evaluación de un método de aglutinación con látex para la detección de factor reumatoide

an agglutination method with latex of national production (centis) was evaluated to detect the rheumatoid factor by using a turbidimetric assay with latex (spin react, spain) as a reference procedure in a group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. the results obtained in the evaluated method (sensitivity 93 %, specificity 80 %, positive predictive value 97.6 %, negative predictive value 57.1 %, and a detection limit of 15 ui/ml) showed its quality and usefulness.
