Aplicación del modelo diagnóstico del grupo internacional para la hepatitis autoinmune (GIHA) en una población de pacientes de Medellín, Colombia

objective: to evaluate the applicability of the scoring system proposed by the international autoimmune hepatitis group (iahg). methods: retrospective, non-analytical trial in 28 patients with diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis (aih), at two university hospitals at medellín city. results: we analyzed 28 patients with diagnosis of aih. according to 1992′s pre-treatment scoring system, 25% had definitive diagnosis of aih and 53% probable diagnosis. with the revised scoring system, 14% had definitive diagnosis and 64% probable diagnosis. in both systems 22% of the patient didn′t meet the criteria to classify as aih. the agreement between clinical diagnosis and iahg scoring system was 78.5% both score systems. conclusions: both score systems are useful for autoimmune hepatitis diagnosis. revised scoring system was more specific in our study.
