the article analyses the relations between brazil and france from the end of world war ii to the present time. to accomplish this task, the author frames the history of the relations between the two countries in three parts: 1) obstructed partnership (1945 - 64); 2) cordial negligence (1963 - 95); and 3) feasible partnership (1990 - 2000).
