Abstract: anal carcinoma is a rare entity that represents 4% of anorectal malignant tumors, and the squamous cell carcinoma is the most common histological type. we report the case of 54-year-old male patient with locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal and metastatic bone disease at diagnosis, which was made after local infectious complications with systemic impact. we describe the evolution of the patient after the diagnosis and the difficulties of clinical management that are secondary to the complcations related to the underlying disease.
