Abstract

We report the case of Ms. D. A, aged 36, with no known medical-surgical history, who was seen for consultation on July 20, 2023 at the LATINO medical clinic located in Bamako (Mali) for an intraabdominal mass lasting several months. associated with heaviness-type pain below the umbilical, hyperpolymenorrhea, urinary frequency, in a picture of desire for children over 10 years old. The clinical and paraclinical examination concluded with the diagnosis of a giant solitary myoma. A myomectomy by laparotomy was performed on July 26, 2023. The myoma weighed 1500g with a long axis of 20cm. Histological study of the surgical specimen revealed a uterine leiomyoma. The postoperative course was unremarkable; the patient was followed by our obstetrician-gynecologist.
