As a tool of expression and communication, language has great advantages and an important position in shaping and displaying the image of a city. Good linguistic landscape construction plays an important role in promoting the overall development of the city, helping to expand its influence, and shaping its overall image. In order to enhance the image of a famous historical and cultural city and its overall competitiveness, this paper investigates the linguistic landscape in Shaoxing city, analyzes it from the perspective of cultural inheritance, and proposes a number of promotion strategies.
