Enlightenment of the French Sorbonne University Applied French Teaching Mode

Abstract

The application of foreign language is an important major for cultivating and transporting international compound talents. The reform of applied foreign language is an inevitable path to realize the internationalization of education and the “going out” of talents. Under the background of the new liberal arts construction, how to break through the predicament of insufficient quality, clarify the ambiguous direction of the traditional foreign language teaching model, broaden the vision of the integration of arts and sciences and enhance the professional ability through language teaching is a significant question to answer. In this regard, the applied French teaching mode developed by the French Sorbonne University has achieved an effective unity of academic practice and the professional one, which serves as important experience for the construction of Chinese applied foreign language education system. Based on this, this paper selects the French Sorbonne University’s applied French teaching model as the research object, in order to provide feasible suggestions for the reform and development of Chinese foreign language education system under the background of the new liberal arts construction.
